I am thrilled to celebrate a milestone that’s close to my heart – five incredible years of providing professional sharpening services at the Backyard Market in Black Forest. This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and I couldn’t have done it without your support.
A Market Born in Challenging Times
The Backyard Market in Black Forest opened its doors on May 23, 2020, during the height of the pandemic. It was one of the first open-air markets in the area, providing a safe and welcoming space for people to gather outside, shop for fresh produce and handmade goods, and enjoy a sense of community that we all desperately needed at the time. My wife, Beverly, and I went to the market and were greeted with great energy and a sense of community and what the organizers had put together.
Our Journey Begins
After the very first market, I saw an opportunity to offer something valuable to this burgeoning community. I approached the market organizers with an idea: to provide on-site professional sharpening services so that customers could shop the market while getting their tools sharpened. They welcomed the idea with open arms, and our journey at the Backyard Market began.
Five Wonderful Years
Over the past five years, I’ve sharpened countless knives, scissors, garden tools, beauty shears, and even woodworking tools, ensuring that your tools are always in top-notch condition. Each market day, I set up my mobile sharpening station, bringing precision and convenience to you while you explore the market’s offerings.
I’ve seen many familiar faces return year after year, and I’ve made wonderful friends along the way. Your trust and satisfaction are what drive me to keep honing our skills and offering the best sharpening service possible.
